Job
Summary:
Support the Child Development program to provide a nationally accredited lab site (NAEYC- National Association for the Education of Young Children) for the lab students and practicum students.
Support families and provide developmentally appropriate care for children of students, staff and faculty.

Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, plan and implement a developmentally appropriate daily curriculum that provides social, emotional, physical and cognitive learning experience for children.
Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, daily schedules, anecdotal records, parent contacts, incident reports, emergency forms, assessments, medication forms and attendance records.
Follow proper safety guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Follow state and federal laws with regards to the health, safety and nutrition of the children.
Maintain communication with families ensuring a constant flow of information to the benefit of the child.
Share information and records which pertain to the well-being of the child and provide research based information to parents to support the growth and development of children.
Assist with planning, organizing, training and monitoring and evaluating lab students, practicum students and service learning students to accomplish department objectives.
Develop, maintain and adhere to classroom portfolio.
May assist with organization, arrangement and implementation of campus field trips, including utilizing the resources of Collin College.
Provide feedback to faculty regarding lab component of coursework.
Supplemental Functions Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of state and licensing standards and the National Association for the Education of Young Children Standards and Code of Ethics Knowledge of emergency procedures for any situation including evacuations Knowledge of the development of children and curriculum standards Knowledge of prescribed state and federal guidelines Knowledge of standards set for Early Childhood Education Knowledge of developmental delays and or special needs Knowledge of community resources and current research material Knowledge of each of the ten Program Standards, Topic Areas, Criteria and Indicators as required by NAEYC Computer and applicable software skills Organization and time management skills Interpersonal skills Ability to follow directions and decipher laws and mandates Ability to supervise children with alertness and calmness Ability to create and maintain accurate records and portfolios Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to use positive guidance techniques when communicating with children Ability to work various hours to ensure the child development center is meeting local, state or federal regulations Ability to observe, mentor and assess college students Ability to provide a research based lab site for the students to conduct observations, activities and projects Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, climbing and balancing, plus pushing, pulling and lifting.
Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
Office environment.
Occasional physical effort required.
Requirements Associate degree from an accredited institution required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferred.
Two (2) years of related experience required.
Three (3) years of related experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications CPR and Pediatric First Aid Equivalency Language In addition to minimum experience required:
At least 60 semester hours OR at least two (2) additional years of directly related experience.
In addition to minimum education required:
A higher level degree than what is required for the job may be substituted for no more than one (1) year of the required work experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
