Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDISH Wireless is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to support the deployment of new functions, applications, and infrastructures being deployed supporting the 5G networking infrastructure.
You will be contributing to the success of our 5G network.
The successful candidate will support gathering functional requirements, evaluating deployment scenarios ( capacity, supportability, reliability, functionality, cost-benefit), defining/documenting solutions, executing proofs-of-concept (as applicable), and guiding customer/partner organizations through connectivity processes for the DISH 5G network.
The candidate will provide advanced technical training in application/capacity for complex application and network routing designs.
The skills learned will enable job growth into either other application/networking or people leadership teams supporting the 5G infrastructure, including cloud, xhaul, and operations.
Key
Responsibilities:
Effectively gather functional/support/capacity/reliability requirements for infrastructure and applications on the network Evaluate different solutions to solve issues by partnering with vendors, internal customers, engineering, operations and platform teams Provide pros/cons evaluation of solutions and recommend the best overall solution, with the necessary justification and cost-benefit analysis Document and aid Engineering/Implementation teams to do certification/validation in dedicated labs, and up to the first-office-application Creation of High-Level Documentation and a draft of Low-Level Documentation (for Engineering/Implementation to finalize during implementation Effectively communicate potential solutions to highly complex and multi-variable problems.
Provide technical expertise in the execution of network and systems solutions along with integration and validation plans for the solutions Work independently with vendors to assess capabilities, limitations, and long-term strategies leveraging specific vendor solutions Skills, Experience and RequirementsIdeal Principal Network Engineering candidates have:
Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer Engineering is a plus Ten to fifteen years of experience in large enterprise or carrier space Professional networking certifications a plus - CCIE or equivalent Public cloud certifications a plus - advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent.
Successful Network Engineer candidates have knowledge in:
IP routing(OSPF/ISIS/BGP) QOS (5QI knowledge a plus) Enterprise Ethernet Switching(Spine-Leaf) (ACI experience a plus) Service Provider Networking Technologies(L3VPN/L2VPN/EVPN) IP Addressing (CIDR/IPv4/IPv6) Salary Range Compensation:
$115,500.
00/Year - $165,000.

The base pay range shown is a guideline.
Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
This will be posted for a minimum of 3 days or until the position is filled.
