How would you like to be the face of the brand and help prospects become customers of Splunk? If so, then this may be a great way for you to jump start your sales career. We are seeking exceptional, early career level sales folks to join our expanding Sales Development team. This is a highly visible, collaborative position based in our Plano, TX office. Key responsibilities include qualification of inbound phone, web and email inquiries, as well as following-up on marketing campaign responders. A successful SDR will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be dedicated to learning as much as you can about Splunk and building your business acumen to be able to articulate the value proposition that our clients experience with Splunk. There is a defined growth path for successful SDR's to be promoted to Business Development roles and other sales and marketing functions.

Create a positive first impression with our prospects and customers by providing them with a world class experience
Complete initial qualification of potential sales opportunities for approval and assignment to a BDR or sales representative
Maintain a sense of urgency and rapid response cadence in following up on all inbound inquiries and marketing leads
Conduct high level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts
Partner with Business Development Representatives in your assigned territory on event recruitment strategies
Actively participate in and contribute to team learning opportunities and your own personal development
Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling)
Requirements:

Years of corporate experience in a professional environment (Technology sales is preferred)
High ethical and moral standards
Strong desire to be in technology sales
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Strong problem-solving skills

Prior inside sales experience a plus

years of corporate tele-sales experience, software sales is a plus

Able to commute daily to our Plano office (this is not a remote position and we are only considering local candidates in the Plano/Dallas area and do not offer relocation.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
