POSITION
Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst position is responsible for evaluating business requirements and delivering new or enhanced software systems and integration solutions. The constituent will manage projects that translate business needs into new products, services and profits, requiring an advanced level of analysis and problem solving skills, and mentor junior level analysts while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Manage and/or participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation and support of business application initiatives.
Assist in the evaluation, selection, acquisition, installation, maintenance, and operation of strategic and cost-effective technology solutions.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysis to support new products and services.
Analyze and evaluate current business and system processes, interfaces and workflow, and recommend changes and enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Deliver analytical support to Business Intelligence teams leading to key program insights that identify performance and process improvement opportunities.
Provide first and/or second line support for daily maintenance of applications including system administration and resolution of issues.
Manage projects from original concept through final implementation and interface with all areas affected by the project including lines of business, Information Technology, operational units and vendors; create and maintain detailed project documentation, track and manage project scope, risks, resources and costs, and deliver project status reports.
Build and maintain strong business unit relationships and develop in-depth knowledge of the business needs and the systems required to effectively support those needs while ensuring delivery of a trusted, consistent client experience.
Integrate IT activities with the business units and other operational departments to ensure the successful implementation and support of project and production efforts.
Provide direction and training to junior level analysts and assist in resource planning and work prioritization.
Assist in developing, maintaining and enforcing IT policies, procedures and systems documentation.
Understand and promote strong risk management, project management, vendor management, records management and process-improvement practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS):
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline from an accredited four year college or university or 6 years equivalent experience is required. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to the financial industry.
Two or more years of Retail or Lending operations, bank administration, compliance, and records management experience and four or more years of extensive experience in Information Technology supporting a core banking system with exposure to server support, desktop support and data analytics. Experience with the Jack Henry Silverlake core system and ProfitStars Synergy Enterprise Content Management system is desired. Experience in planning, organization and implementation of a records management system including the maintenance, storage, retention, retrieval and destruction of records and documents in accordance with administrative, legal, fiscal and historical requirements is a plus.
Project Management certifications (PMP, PMI, etc.) and proven experience in managing new system implementation, conversions and/or system application upgrades and releases is strongly preferred. Ability to lead and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to senior management, internal clients and vendors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Strong analytical skills and experience in capacity planning, systems performance and utilization reports. Ability to translate business unit needs into technical specifications. Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing priorities and technology. Highly knowledgeable on relevant operational policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Highly competent in the use of and training ability on all applicable bank systems and programs. Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
