Risk Management Analyst

JOB PURPOSE: To provide claims oversight for Worker's Compensation Program, handle all activities associated with Store Property Losses, complete Risk Management accounting functions as needed, and serve as OSHA administrator.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Acts as a Workers Compensation claims liaison between Risk, HR, Field Management and Third-Party Administrators (TPA's)
Provide reserve and settlement authority within defined limits
Provide TPA's vendor approvals as needed
Independently analyze claim exposures
Identify need for claim specific tasks including: defense attorney involvement, medical case management and vocational rehabilitation
Assists in generating action plans for the resolution of claims being handled by our TPA's
Administer the Store Property Loss Program including creating new files, investigating claims and processing payments
OSHA Administration: Responsible for annual OSHA reporting and periodic OSHA surveys. Reviews new claims to determine if the injury type and or initial treatment requires OSHA reporting
Complete Risk Management accounting functions such as journal entries and processing invoices
Field Risk Management inquiry calls
Generates reports as needed
Additional duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree
At least 2 years lost time worker's compensation adjusting experience
Good working knowledge of workers' compensation concepts and laws across all states
Capable of identifying issues in the administration of WC claims
Ability to develop plans of action to bring about the resolution of claims
Texas Workers' Compensation Adjuster License
Experience with safety programs and OSHA administration preferred
Insurance Carrier background preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be highly organized and detail oriented
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
Friendly with outstanding customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
