Business Analyst
Summary:
As a Business Analyst at Heartland Payment Systems, you will work with product visionaries, development & QA teams and other project stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions focused on payment-acceptance products (i.e. virtual terminal, gateway solutions).

Key Responsibilities
Functional Expert for the Organization
Create requirements, prioritize work, and determine acceptance criteria for a development team
Create the appropriate documentation to support current and future development
Maintain all documentation related to project progress and compliance reporting
Serve as an expert for the compliance teams as needed
Troubleshoot and identify gaps with existing systems/processes such as, but not limited to, manual processes that can easily be automated, lack of appropriate tracking systems, security risks and vulnerabilities
Identify dependencies between your team and other teams.
Leader for the Team
Contribute to the Vision, Roadmap, and Program Backlog with your experience and insights
Listen and apply the priorities of the work around you in an appropriate manner to guide the team in the right direction
Establish a strong purpose and sense of urgency within the team.
Support the release process for solutions developed by the team
Maintain alignment between Product Management, Development Teams, and Customer Service
Servant for the Team
Be available to the full Agile team (business and IT), working hand in hand with them on a daily basis
Assist in evolving team processes and driving continuous improvement. Achieve this by continuously seeking out and applying feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Computer Science
Have at least 3 years of Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into requirements and timelines.
An Analytical and Innovative thinker
Proficient and have demonstrable Leadership and Teamwork skills
Proficient and have demonstrable communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Perform with commitment, accountability, transparency, integrity and partnership
Have a familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices
Strong understanding of various payment mechanisms: credit card, debit card, ACH, and emerging payment options
Proficient in various MS Office software products
Be able to travel infrequently, up to 25% of the time overnight
