Summary:

The Senior Sales Rep position supports the Builder Multifamily (BMF) channel in tracking and expediting the sales and marketing business processes. This position performs all functions related to customer acquisition and retention, including customer data flow through operations groups, account management and sales activity maintenance. This individual is responsible for managing and growing a current book of business in the deregulated areas of Texas, while fostering existing business relationships within the Builder/Multifamily channel of NRG. This position is the Reliant Energy focal point for information on the service delivery process for the segment and requires a good understanding of the sales cycle, a high level of follow through, and exceptional account management skills. Additionally, the person in this position will need to market new services to the targeted audience and execute long-term energy contracts with customers.

Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:

  • Achieve set sales goals through acquisition and renewal business and continually working to grow customer and market penetration, of an existing Builder/Multifamily book of book and prospects.
  • Execute long-tern electricity and marketing agreements with target home builders and property management company firms.
  • Manage the customer relationship from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Serve as the key subject matter expert for energy marketing and be knowledgeable on all processes across customer lifecycle.
  • Research and resolve contract and customer service issues timely and responsively, with a particular focus on customer satisfaction, enrollment status, accurate contract execution and escalating all issues as needed.
  • Perform financial impact analysis when necessary and make recommendations to risk/product reviews, pricing and contract management. Set up and maintain customer account information and sales pipeline.
  • Effectively manage and develop support team member, while working well with cross-functional teams/departments.
  • Participate and contribute in the development marketing collateral and sales plan.
  • Serve as pre- and post-launch marketing product expert for resolution of operational, implementation and sales concerns.
  • Proactively uncovering opportunities for new efforts or enhancement of existing business processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience working with customers in a problem solving or sales support capacity.

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge in utility/energy and/or Multifamily/Home Builder industry preferred.

  • Ability to make tough decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure; has a bias for action.
  • Ability to own and deliver against specific sales and/or marketing commitments.
  • Consolidation of reports across marketing campaigns and sharing of key learnings.
  • Work effectively and build relationships with people at all levels solid team player.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional business teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point, Access).
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal an written form to all levels of an organization.
  • Work at a rapid, but effective pace, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy of work is achieved.
  • Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task among different tasks.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to manage customer satisfaction from prospecting, contracting, onboarding and account maintenance.
  • Comfortable working with top executives / decision makers with the ability to effectively articulate our value proposition and competitive advantage within the energy marketplace.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
