Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead the culinary program for an upcoming upscale American sports bistro. This role requires a chef who can deliver elevated, high-quality cuisine in a high-energy, sports-driven environment while maintaining exceptional standards of consistency, creativity, and execution.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of refined culinary technique and approachable, crowd-pleasing menu development, with a strong understanding of both classic American fare and modern trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met at all times
- Develop and execute a refined American menu that complements a vibrant sports bar atmosphere
- Create innovative specials and seasonal menu updates that drive guest engagement
- Maintain strong cost controls, including food cost, labor, and inventory management
- Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with leadership on concept development, promotions, and events tied to major sporting occasions
- Oversee high-volume service periods while maintaining fine dining-level execution
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality sourcing and cost efficiency
Qualifications
- 5-8
years of experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in an upscale or high-volume concept - Strong background in American cuisine, with the ability to elevate traditional dishes
- Experience in high-volume kitchens with a focus on consistency and speed without compromising quality
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and retain high-performing teams
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, food cost management, and labor controls
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sports-centric environment
- Culinary degree preferred but not required

$80,000 - $90,000 per yearEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
