The Technical Sales Director will be responsible for partnering with and acting as the technical liaison to the customer to bring Samsung's mobilenetworkinfrastructure products and services into the AT&T network. This is a direct customer-facing technical sales role focused on 4G and 5G network technologies. The candidate will work closely within the account team and with local and Korea-based technical teams to analyze the customer's network strategy, identify opportunities for Samsung Networks to solve pain points, manage solution integration in AT&T lab and field trials, and drive sales revenue targets. Areas of activity include RAN, core network, network management tools, and network services. The role encompasses pre-sales, solution architecture, proposal creation, and ongoing post-sales customer satisfaction. The candidate will be expected to participate in a number of relevant industry forums. It is an individual contributor role with substantial scope of responsibilities. Role and Responsibilities Responsible managing and completing complex project activities as assigned by the Senior Sales Director of Samsung's AT&T Customer Account Team. Work closely with other members of AT&T Customer Account Team in support of pre and post sales activities in order to achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Lead large teams across the Samsung Networks organization to conduct deep-dive customer sessions for new technology introduction of 4G/5G RAN and core network features/roadmap and professional services. Develop deep relationships within customer's network business at multiple levels of the technical organization to become a trusted technical advisor. Become a customer advocate inside Samsung and a Samsung advocate within the customer. Establish/maintain trust and rapport as the SME for technical network solutions. Create proposals based on new and existing contractual agreements. Educate customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Work with Samsung Korea HQ and US engineering teams for product development plans, schedules, and product introductions. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new solution rollouts for AT&T. Skills and Qualifications Technical Acumen Competency and broad understanding of the technical solutions related to RAN/ Core/ Element Management Systems/ OSS Interfaces/ Network Management tools to customer through complex organizational dynamics Ability to read and understand technical specifications from 3GPP and other industry standards organizations Presentations and Writing Skills Leverage your ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the customer organization as well as HQ leadership on initiatives - tailor the technical depth of the communication based on audience Willingness to represent Samsung Networks as a subject matter expert in conference technical panels with senior executives from other leading companies Contribute to written content for press releases, blog, white papers, and other collateral Excellence Dealing with Ambiguity Bring your experience in problem solving and ability to navigate complex organizations with pivotal shifts Think outside the box for ways that Samsung can support our customers Background/Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or telecommunications engineering required; Master's degree strongly preferred. 15
total years of experience within the mobile industry focused on RAN solutions and professional services R&D Project management skills a plus Deep understanding of technology trends in next-generation mobile networks - 5G, vRAN, Massive MIMO, network slicing, orchestration, etc. 5
years of experience in a customer-facing role. Must possess the ability to analyze, interpret, and present (including presentation creation) technical products and development materials to both internal and external stakeholders. Experience interacting closely with AT&T technical organization is a plus. Must possess the ability to THRIVE in a highly dynamic cross-functional environment (partnership across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Global HQ, etc.) PLUS navigate a complex customer stakeholders and business unit; Interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate an organization and manage-via-influence are just as paramount as the technical ability.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
