Position Overview The primary function of the Visual Merchandising Solutions Print Marketing Operations Manager is to lead the planning and execution of Samsung print marketing activities in support of Iconic and non-Iconic product launches, special projects and key Retail initiatives. As the Visual Merchandising Solutions Print Marketing Manager you will hold a pivotal position within the organization, touching all carrier and retail customers as your efforts bring Samsung to life in physical locations nationwide. This role partners closely with cross-functional internal and external teams to plan and execute channel-specific Print Marketing strategies that are aligned with Samsung priorities to create customer experiences that translate into brand loyalty and sales. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising Solutions, this role will lead printer partner relationships and co-lead agency relationships in a fast-paced environment. This work is detail-oriented and time-sensitive requiring you to have strong information management skills, project management experience, a strong sense of urgency and a passion for flawless execution. Role and Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities Lead the Print Marketing approach/process by collaborating with cross functional teams to plan and execute plans Manage agency/printer relationships and serve as the key project manager to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met Maintain Master, Launch and Special Project tracking documents ensuring accurate, detailed and thorough information is included at all times including asset specs, part numbers, print quantities and special instructions Develop and maintain print rate card in conjunction with Vendor Management team Formulate print budget forecasts on quarterly/annual basis with monthly refinement adjustments to be made based on channel and product plans Create and submit financial plan proposals and bidding request documents on time and accurately as needed by account. Ensure purchase orders are issued and vendors engaged Lead appropriate NDA/security clearance submittals for print partners in timely manner to ensure no timeline slippage Ensure QC checkpoints are planned. Perform QC on assets digitally and in person Lead print marketing inclusion in space planning system, partnering with Space Planning team to ensure accurate and timely information is available on planograms Facilitate sizzle video and promo marketing uploads in conjunction with digital marketing team Prepare all product launch reporting and tracking documents, report out to PMO/Cross-functional teams weekly Conduct brand health & competitive assessments and develop a routine forum for sharing. Engage with agency and printers to bring new substrate, print methods to design teams to keep Samsung on forefront of print innovations Create efficiencies with existing processes, improving implementation for agency, printers, supply chain and field execution Be subject matter expert on print marketing executions. Maintain strong, timely communications and methods of organization to be always current on all projects in a fast-paced, changing environment Drive live-set testing of print marketing to ensure successful GTM execution based on planograms and design renderings. Identify gaps. Seek out solutions with cross-functional partners when needed Lead and support special projects as assigned including National Retail Meetings and product launch activities Background/Experience Bachelor's Degree with 8-10
years' experience preferably in marketing, business, or project management; an MBA preferred PMP certification preferred Agency/Printer management experience preferred Experience managing large amounts of detailed information in a fast-paced environment Leading cross-functional teams in retail merchandising planning Minimum of 5 years in field sales or account teams Experience in the telecommunications and/or wireless industry requiring account management, program management, business planning, project management, or equivalent work experience in planning or operations Space Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Operation experiences in corporate environment desired Strong presentation skills; ability to customize message to audience Must have Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge. Demonstrable using a variety of PC applications, including word processing and PowerPoint. Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Space Planning tools (i.e. JDA, One Door), Render Software experience preferred Skills and Qualifications o Experienced professional with full understanding on specialized areas; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways o Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions o Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments Ambitious self starter, thrives in a fast-paced environment managing ambiguity and complexity, working well under stress Ability to listen well, think strategically and creatively to solve problems, gain alignment and action through influence; results driven Process-oriented, with ability to flex from high-level strategy to fine attention to detail Excels in judgement for balancing competing priorities and advance what matters most to the organization The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established timeframes Willing to work additional hours beyond normal schedule during peak time period
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Brand Marketing & Management, Business Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
