Summary:
Reporting into the Director of Channel Marketing - Strategic Accounts, the Channel Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing demand generating marketing programs for the mobile product portfolio in the US working closely with Samsung's wireless regional carriers and cable operators. Furthermore, the scope focuses on integrated go-to-market execution, and best-in-class Samsung Galaxy branded experience within wireless carrier settings. This role will work with multiple marketing and cross functional support teams in mobile marketing, corporate marketing, retail operations as well as multiple agencies in the development of demand and traffic generating marketing campaigns, in-store experiences, promotions, and comprehensive advertising materials & plans, including experiential campaigns.Role and Responsibilities Execute demand generation programs for regional carriers and cable operators, to support product launches (Handheld Phones, New Computing, and Mobile Enhancement products), consumer offers and local marketing programs Work with omnichannel teams (Project Management, Product Planning, etc.) to create and update product launch schedules for all new products ranged at assigned carriers Work with SEA Marketing and HQ RPM teams to establish creative asset (e.g. photography, logos, key visuals, messaging, etc.) delivery schedules that support the needs of each assigned carrier Work with various internal teams to conduct data collections, research and insight creation to determine unique selling points for assigned carriers Manages promotion advertising programs and materials for specific channels and/or campaign periods to drive measurable sales growth and hit forecast targets Work within Samsung bidding systems to procure agency support for marketing programs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive CDM, media, partnership and experiential programming execution Qualifications/Skills:
A Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, communications, or related business field is required. MBA a plus. Have 5
years of marketing, media, demand gen advertising experience spanning agency or with a Fortune 500 Company Prior experience in product marketing and project management Prior experience in high-tech, telecommunications environment or retail industries preferred Familiarity with marketing and sales channels within high-tech product technology industry preferred Social media/digital marketing experience a plus Comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced industry and matrix organization with multiple constituents Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames Necessary Skills & Attributes:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed. Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels. Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications. The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives. Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas. Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule. Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
