Summary:
The Supply Chain Management - New Computing & Mobile Enhancement Supply Chain Operations is responsible for ensuring product availability and to meet forecasted demand by the Sales accounts. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams, and with the Operations Teams and tracked using spreadsheets, GERP, and Samsung Systems and Tools. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing a specific range of products related to New Computing and Mobile Enhancement products and will work closely with the other parties at SEA. The Manager will also support strategic projects on behalf of the entire Supply Chain Team, generate reports for Executive Management, and represent the SCM Team when working withinternal/external customers. The Supply Chain Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply related issues for the associated product category at the Sales Subsidiary and will interact closely with all teams including Senior Management Role and Responsibilities Developing, negotiating, coordinating, and communicating business plans between Samsung Electronics America (SEA) counterparts. Main responsibility will be in Managing AP2 Forecasting by products. Analyzing weekly Purchase Sales Inventory (PSI) to identify sales target status, ensuring fulfillment of delivery to achieve sales plans, product development, and new launches. Manage system-based tools that provide real-time information regarding sales, order forecast, and channel inventory; extract data to conduct channel inventory analysis and reconciliation. Provide daily/weekly updates of product arrival schedules from factories and against customer delivery commitments. Reviewing and identifying variances compared to outstanding sales orders and forecasts, in order to plan for future product availability and inventory. Providing sales with daily / weekly updates of product delivery schedules from headquarters and against customer product delivery commitments. Reviewing and identifying variances in weekly PSI Global product deliveries. Consolidating and publishing the weekly financial outlook, translating PSI and unit sales into financial figures to analyze the state of the business Functioning as the focal point to improve communications between headquarters and corresponding SEA team members. Qualifications/Skills:
Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or similar 5-10 year work experience in relevant field Excellent Analytical and Computer Skills High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite. SAP/GERP experience helpful. Excellent Communications skills (written, verbal) Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building with Senior Management level Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural business environment Must be available time to time for overtime and working on weekend Necessary Skills & Attributes:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed. Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels. Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications. The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives. Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas. Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule. Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. $80K -- $100K
