Summary:
This position is responsible for performing imaging procedures according to established standards and procedures in areas where proficiency has been attained and verified.
Responsibilities:
Perform imaging procedures and produce high quality diagnostic imaging; maintain consistent knowledge and skill level to meet diagnositic evaluation expectations.
Complete radiobioassay activities.
Communicate and collaborate with the leadership and staff in other departments to facilitate optimuum patient care.
Complete documentation of all activities according to established criteria.
Adhere to department/hospital policies, procedures, and processes regarding quality assurance, quality improvement, radiation safety, patient flow and other issues.
Complete required QA as appropriate.
Participate in training programs to develop additional skills and/or to enhance existing skills; obtain/maintain appropriate license and certification.
Participate/cooperate with all other department/hospital processes/activities as appropriate including staff meetings and radiation safety committee meetings.
Ability to meet physical and non-physical demands as outlined in the job description.
WORK EXPERIENCE Less than 1 year related experience in Nuclear Medicine Req EDUCATION Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Req Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Pref LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Req Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Req Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.
