The Data Analyst is responsible for managing and driving the architecture of scalable and standardized data systems, process optimizations, and ensuring information accuracy to support business operations and requirements.
The Data Analyst must have excellent technical and organizational skills, especially in using data processing, visualization, and data storytelling strategies to provide insights to senior management and business leaders in support of decision-making efforts.
Areas of focus include data mapping & profiling, transactional/dimensional analysis, and Business Intelligence & Analytics lifecycle management.
Their duties include collaborating with other data professionals to profile the data and extract data figures, creating reports and visual stories based on their findings, as well as supervising key performance indicators to determine business initiatives' success.
Build & develop Metadata and Ontology Platform.
Direct the where and the how for developing a Metadata and Ontology Platform that enables metadata management, ontology management, and a semantic data layer.
Conduct through business analysis of various data sources, data profiling and build data mapping.
Determines and documents data mapping rules for movement of medium to high complexity data between applications.
Adheres to and promotes the use of data administration standards.
Supports data selection, extraction, and cleansing for corporate applications, including data warehouse and data marts.
Creates and sustains processes, tools, and ongoing support structures and processes.
Extracts and analyzes data from specific applications, systems and/or databases to create reports and provide recommendations based on the analysis of the data.
Investigates and resolves data issues across platforms and applications, including discrepancies of definition, format, and function.
Capacity to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology.
Collaborate with end users, IT developers and leaders to define scope, requirements, and output for sophisticated automation projects; act as project lead to supervise progress and design reports measuring results.
Develop solutions to business needs, identify and implement process improvement, identify risks, issues and dependencies, partner multi-functionally, ad hoc reporting.
Understanding of data mining techniques and ability to work with large datasets.
Perform routine and ad hoc analysis of various facets of data processing including but not limited to system performance, data mapping, and file transaction volume.
Create and maintain documentation that defines operational procedures, client requirements, and shares relevant analysis outcomes with internal and external partners.
Operate as a domain expert on functional areas, analysis methodology, and reporting metrics.
Collaborates partners to understand their business needs, formulate, and complete end-to-end analysis that encompasses data gathering, analysis, and ongoing scaled work.
Create workflow charts, and data flow diagrams to help the team assess the business impact of any changes or enhancements.
Work with executives and other business leaders to identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
Work independently to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring targets are met and data output is accurate and appropriate for the requirement.
Must also be able to deal with ambiguity and make independent decisions about what data and approach is best for the task at hand.
Identify areas of opportunity and get results partnering with multi-functional partners.
Requirements:

years demonstrated ability in data extraction, mapping, profiling, transformation and load, data modeling, business analytics, and reporting/analytics environments.
Experience using SQL and working with large datasets.
Ability to interpret, draw insights, and formulate recommendations with large datasets.
Solid ability to think analytically, implement to a goal/vision, influence, problem solve, and impact/lead change in a matrix environment.
The individual should have a good working knowledge and understanding of databases and data structure.
Demonstrates independence and must be hard-working - able to initiate and lead change.
Ability to think innovatively and strategically and have a desire for learning.
Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Office products and ontology tools.
Experience with Azure, DevOps, Snowflake, Salesforce, and other database concepts.
Knowledge of ETL concepts, development, and experience with various Data Tools.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, meet targets, and diligence.
Ability to work with multi-functional teams and flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management.
Knowledge of relevant technologies and tools, such as SQL, Hadoop, NoSQL, and cloud computing platforms Able to develop sophisticated concepts, techniques, and standards.
Ability to collaborate effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented demeanor.
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
