THE POSITION TITLE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER LOCATION DALLAS, TX RESPONSIBILITIES The Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the executive team and will be responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the company's financial strategy, planning, implementation, and financial operations.
This includes developing short and long-range plans for the effective financial management of the company, managing the internal financial systems, and leading the financial team / organization.
As the company continues to grow and make further investments in the business, a major focus area will involve helping the company raise capital, including equity and debt structures as well as the negotiation of capital funding.
In addition, building a strong financial function and team will also be an important component for the role.
The Chief Financial Officer will work strategically with the executive team to position the company for continued growth.
He / She will lead the planning, modeling, accounting, and reporting activities for Stellus Rx's financial operations.
This Chief Financial Officer will ensure effective financial controls are in place and that a capital structure is maintained to allow for execution of the corporate strategy.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Fundraising and Capital Development:
Lead fundraising and capital development for the company including both debt and equity structures, as well as the negotiation of capital funding.
? Strategy & Planning:
Participate in the development of the company-wide strategic plan.
Set a plan for the accounting and finance department with respect to the systems, processes, and people of the department both for the near-term (one to two years) and longer-term (three to five years), based on the projected growth of Stellus Rx.
? Financial Reporting and Operational Analysis:
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for assessing and improving visibility into Stellus Rx's operations through data, analysis, and reporting.
The Chief Financial Officer will be tasked with continuously analyzing the growth and profitability of the business.
? Team Development & Influencing:
Assess the existing accounting and finance organization to determine the team's aptitude and mindset.
With this assessment completed, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for building the team required to meet the needs of the business.
On an ongoing basis, the Chief Financial Officer will act as a change agent and mentor to develop and continuously improve both their team and business operations to more efficiently and effectively serve the company's stakeholders.
? Tracking & Reporting:
Responsible for financial and KPI tracking and reporting, specifically monthly / annual reports, accounting operation benchmarks, financial and operating metrics, annual budgets and forecasts, reporting of budget variances (with explanations), external auditor management, capitalization tables oversight, and local, state, and federal government reporting requirements (including sales and use taxes).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership and prior Chief Financial Officer experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; CPA not required
Qualifications:
Stellus Rx is seeking a dynamic, creative, and hands-on financial professional who has demonstrated leadership across control, treasury, financial reporting, risk management, operations analysis, and strategic planning.
Candidates with experience in rapidly growing, private, or investor-backed environments will receive the greatest consideration.
Healthcare, specifically value-based care / risk contracting experience, is preferred.
This executive will have excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including senior leadership, the Board, and Stellus Rx team members.

control, treasury, FP&A, risk management, accounting, and tax.
