Through effective communication, strategic mindset, collaboration, organizational agility, project management, and overall project management skills are vital elements of the job.
As a complex organization, the Operations Event Manager will be key in facilitating alignment and feedback from cross-functional teams.
You will gather insights and feedback to improve upon existing field event processes and ultimately align to the broader company goals.
You will evaluate event performance and impact through field execution, tools and KPI metrics vital to the growth and success of products.
Position
Summary:
This position serves to lead events activities for the Retail team at this company with a focus on strategy, execution and program management.
This person will be an experienced, strategic and highly creative individual who will orchestrate Retail internal and external events, employee engagement activities and national training events.
This will include but not limited to product unpack events, product launch events, the Consumer Electronics Show, Major Corporate Events in the US, national retail meetings, Mobility Business Unit meetings, retail field events, large scale sponsorship events, Channel Customer events, other recognition events, etc.
This person must be technologically adept, have exceptional project management and communication skills, comfort with logistics, and is highly collaborative.
A proven track record is critical for managing successful large scale events and employee engagement programs.
Role and Responsibilities oDesign, manage and orchestrate overall Retail Events and Programs oProvide oversight of event management and logistics oManage reporting dashboards to measure and report on KPI's and success of event programs oManage event retail budgets for employee engagement activities oCoordinate with Business unit operations teams, B2B, Marketing, Corporate teams on events and engagement activities oManage and communicate events and engagement calendars oHost meetings to ensure collaboration, including managing the virtual meetings features such as screen sharing, recording, polling, breakout rooms, muting, etc.
oManage 3PL teams for specific events and projects oProviding post-event support including, attendance reports, post mortems, etc.
oBuild strong working relationship with other divisions (Consumer, Networks, Display, etc.
) to identify areas of cooperation oWork with internal creative teams, agencies, training organization and platforms to deliver content oPlan and manage programs, on time, on budget, to scope Qualifications/Skills:

years of experience leading events and engagement programs oExperience working on projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating schedules oTrack record of driving and piloting new ideas, measuring the impact and iterating oAbility to manage and influence across highly cross-functional teams including sales, customer support, PR, social and marketing oExperience managing projects of varying complexity; time management and project management are critical skills oAbility to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders oWorks well independently and as part of team oExcellent verbal and written communications skills oAdapts well to a fast-paced environment Necessary Skills & Attributes:
oDevelop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company oPlan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects oReview detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed oDemonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels oWork independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications oThe ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
