Currently seeking recent college graduates with a Computer Science, Networking or related field degree, to work on software integration projects including designing/implementing, debugging, troubleshooting and testing features and defect fixes for mission critical applications used at Optimal Blue.
Our technical environment is dynamic, fast-paced, diverse, intellectually stimulating and fun. The ideal candidate is one who thrives in an atmosphere of complicated problem solving. They will have broad programming experience with exposure to multiple/various programming languages. We are looking for ideas as well as execution; this team member will be co-responsible for all aspects of our development cycle.
Responsibilities of the Software Developer:
Position involves the design, modification, development, and implementation of software programming applications
As part of the normal software development life cycle, the successful candidate will also conduct unit testing and participate in the review and system test process through analysis and remediation of test defects
Performs maintenance programming for existing version. Performs custom programming at customer request.
Collaboration with technical architects and product development to assess client and company requirements for software solutions.
Creation and maintenance of routine SQL Server Database Administrator functions or SQL Server 2008 databases such as: table indexing, views, backups, stored procedures, SQL Server log reviews/error corrections, database creation and changes and scheduled replication of databases.
Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools.
Create and maintain unit test suites for new modules and deliver projects
Write and maintain functional specifications and design documents
Take features and designs through software lifecycle
Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts and procedures as appropriate to project requirements.
Requirements of the Software Developer:
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in CS, CIS, MIS or related software program
History of academic excellence, with a minimum 3.2 GPA
3-5 years of experience of the entire software development lifecycle.
Creates or contributes to clearly documented plans, designs and results for projects
Demonstrated experience in analysis, design, implementation, development of application analysis, and maintenance; experience that includes Microsoft solutions client side server side and SQL Server experience.
Knowledge of C++, Java, J2EE, C#, .NET, and SQL are preferred skills, but not required.
