IT Cloud Infrastructure Services seeks self-driven individuals to play a vital role in implementation and operation of hosting environments leveraging virtualization, automation and orchestration technologies.
This role will be responsible for supporting environments using VMWare, Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Cisco's UCS product.
Responsible for all operational aspects including new farm/pod deployments, proactive system maintenance, issue resolution and on-call support.
Cloud Server Engineer Mandatory Skills:
- This position requires knowledge of all aspects of data center hosting with emphasis on Server & Virtualization.
- The ability to work closely with IT architects and senior engineers in the architectural design, analysis and application integration work for new deployments is required.
Core Skills:
- Experience in designing and managing large server environments
- Advance knowledge in OS internals
- Experience in deploying, managing and troubleshooting virtualization technologies using Vmware VCloud Suite
- Experience with networking and storage principles and architecture
- Linux OS & Windows system administration experience. Provide advanced troubleshooting of OS and hardware components
- Experience with Cisco UCS
- Scripting experience a must
- VMWare VCloud Automation Center (VCAC) experience preferred
- Knowledge of current industry best practices
- Trend analysis on performance and growth & assist in Capacity Planning & Monitoring
- Outstanding customer interaction skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work across cultures and time zones
- Typically requires BS/BA in related field and at least 8-10 yrs. relevant experience; Masters degree preferred; Cisco Certifications strongly preferred
