On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Technical Support Engineer for a contract opportunity in Plano, TX.
Technical Support Engineer Job Details
This is a Tier II/Product Specialist Support role. Your main responsibility is to provide technical support to both internal and external client customers. The Technical
Support Engineer will provide overall escalation management and technical solutions as well as be able to communicate effectively with customers, sales people, management,
and fellow technical support engineers. Technical Support Engineers are also relied on as subject matter experts in their fields, proactively documenting technical
solutions as well as creating and delivering training around their area of expertise.
Technical Support Engineer Mandatory Requirements
Core Requirements:
o Fluent in Portuguese (speak, read, write), Spanish is a plus
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Strong, proven, customer service soft skills
o Ability to multi-task, prioritize job requirements, and meet deadlines
o Strong personal organization skills
o Ability to effectively communicate status updates to various audiences, including customers, sales, management, and peers.
o Strong documentation skills
o Friendly and approachable personality with positive attitude
o Strong troubleshooting/systematic fault isolation skills
o Ability to maintain poise and professionalism under pressure
o Ability to provide technical training to groups of students
o Self-motivated
o Willingness to work after hours as needed for high severity issues
o Strong understanding of Microsoft/Unix operating systems
o Knowledge of IPS/IDS
o Knowledge of switching, routing/routing protocols, IP, Firewalls, VPN's
o Knowledge of security concept such as vulnerabilities, exploits and industry standard security references.
o Strong SQL skills
o Extensive troubleshooting and testing skills (i.e. analytic, be able to narrow down on a problem, use documentation, tools, etc to troubleshoot)
o Strong working and theoretical understanding of the OSI Layer model
o Strong Networking knowledge including sub-netting , TCP/IP and bandwidth usage concerns
o Understanding of a wide variety of protocols, including snmp, smtp, syslog, ssh, ntp, dhcp, dns
o Proficiency in use of Linux operating systems
o Understanding of device hardware
o Knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN technologies
o Understanding of Windows Operating system
o Understanding of Linux Operation systems
o Working knowledge of Active Directory
o Strong log analysis skills
o Ability to work with SQL databases

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
