Specialist Legal Counsel
Duties: Provides legal expertise in support of company's sales in the U.S. and Canada for medium to large, complex IT services transactions, specifically IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, applications development, maintenance and complex systems integration deals. Leads the overall legal strategies and assessment of risks for these deals while working closely with the sales team and other stakeholder groups. Act as deal lead and may also supervise second chair attorney or non-attorney negotiator for larger more complex deals. Drafts and negotiates contract terms and manages deal closings. For existing accounts, leads the resolution of legal, regulatory and business issues including contract disputes. Plans and facilitates the training and mentoring for less senior team members and internal clients on designated topics. Exerts influence on external industry counsels, policies and regulatory bodies in area of specialization.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
