Insurance Life and Annuities - Conversion COE Senior Director - Full Time Remote
NTT DATA is a leading provider of Third Party Administration (TPA) services to the Life and Annuities insurance industry.
We own and operate intellectual property LifeSys that supports more than 5 million policies and 30 customers.
We are in the middle of a significant Digital Transformation program that will further enhance our platform.
We serve customers who are looking for cost optimization opportunities through TPA outsourcing and IT simplification (for open and closed blocks) as well as customers who are looking for a quick turnaround to launch new products with digital interaction capabilities.
To be able to address our growing business needs, we are looking for an experienced Life Insurance and Annuity Conversion COE Leader with deep functional experience in Life Insurance Industry.
Ideal candidate would be someone who has a thorough understanding of various Life & Annuity products as well as supplemental health products that are offered through employers.
Ideal candidate would also have successfully led multiple major conversions successfully in the past.
Apart from their education, experience, and strong business knowledge, we are looking for someone who has strong client-interaction and presentation skills.
Summary:
- The Data Conversion Program Manager will demonstrate ability to effectively drive positive change through holding others accountable for execution and results in a collaborative environment.
- Define, develop, and actively manage implementation schedules and project budgets
- Coordinate plans within internal project team, clients, and external vendors on conversion related tasks
- Coordinate data conversion plans involving multiple disparate data sources and destinations, phased approaches, and multiple types of data
- Manage project scope from inception to closure, driving towards the ideal of a zero defect delivery
- Coordinate resources, prepare project teams for kickoff, ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope, and mitigate risks
- Effectively manage and maintain communications on status and escalation
- Comply with project governance metrics that provide internal visibility of a projects health
- Manage deployment schedules
- Define and articulate project risks and issues and facilitate closure
- Ensure project consultants are delivering to configuration, development, and methodology standards
- Promote teamwork and culture of accountability
- Lead in the creation of a data conversion center of excellence
- Develop and maintain roadmap for data conversion center of excellence
- Lead in the creation of an integrated conversion playbook with detailed instructions for cycle execution, validation and reconciliation, mock conversions, and implementation for cutover
- Assist sales in communicating strategy for conversions in the form of presentation materials and in-person presentations to clients
Basic Requirements
- 10
years software project management experience, preferably on enterprise-level implementations - 10
years conversion project management experience on Life and Annuity insurance product lines - 5
years of experience with data conversion validation and reconciliation methods for Life and Annuity insurance product lines - 3
years of experience defining and documenting data conversion best practices preferred - 3
years of experience with data conversion analysis and data cleansing preferred - 3
years of experience creating or utilizing conversion data maps preferred - 3
years of experience working with data modeling tools, commercial data conversion tools and/or vendors preferred
